Since we finished Fine Arts career in Barcelona Carla Ariza and I, we are working together in different projects. We develop a really fluid workspace where everything is debated and discussed. We focus the efforts in developing a process of work where ideas, materials and concepts mix together to a concrete purpose. As an artistic couple we have developed two projects and a collaboration in Talaies Sonores Project. Our projects are based on different problems and issues that come to our mind. We confront projects in the way to push things forward. Ifood was a project build to create a fake company that was commercialising a food product that have to be heard and smell. With the Saloon the idea was to generate a debate about public and private spaces. We wanted to create a environment that explains the live of an unknown person. And in Talaias Sonores the idea was to create a product build for an specific purpose.

Por la Boca Muere el Pez. May 2007. installation, Fishes and speakers. This project was born form the mind of Carla Ariza. The primary idea was to work with alive fishes and make them force the viewer to ask himself about the nature of having alive fishes in bowls on an art exhibition. The project consists in six bags of rubber plastic filled with water and alive fishes on it. All the rubber plastic bags have a speaker that it’s making talk the fishes. Most of the fishes have silly conversations with themselves but a few of them are talking about the concept of art and deep discussions. The project creates a lot of debate when it was presented at Fine Arts academy in Barcelona. There was a lot of controversy about the whole nature of the project and what was saying to the viewers. Now a days, Carla Ariza keeps and takes care of those fishes that once were a piece of art. |

Ifood. Autumn 2007. Installation, Rubber pots and digital prints, speakers, MP3 reproducers, and flavours. The project runs around the idea to create a pharmacy product for people that aren't hungry. It’s a sere of different products like meals that just sound and smell like the food but you aren’t able to eat it. It’s a product created to make you feel hungry. Soon it’s going to be a webpage exclusive for the Ifood Project. |

Waypoints design. March 2008. plastic spheres and digital prints. During the preparation of Talaia Sonora 7.0 Collserola we came up with the idea of design a really fancy waypoints that leads the people up to the hill where the Talaia was to be performed. Together we find out which materials suite on the project and which was the concept around them. Finally we design this weird object that contains the exact coordinates of the Talaia. The final object was a transparent sphere made of plastic that contained a transparent film with coordinates printed on it. The object could be found in hidden points nearby the place where the Talaia Sonora was to be played. |

The Saloon. June 2008. installation, tv, various materials. This was our last project until the date. We had to develop a project in a public space. The proposal came from the idea to make an art exhibition on the middle of the street in Mollet del Vallés (BCN). We came up with the idea to create a private space in the middle of the city. This domestic environment had the clues to know the person who supposedly was living there. Using different objects, details and videos we wanted to create the world of a mad man who is a voyeur and likes to control the people around him. The contradiction come when you put this private world in a public space and the next twist was made by the idea that we show on public space the house of somebody who is breaching people’s privacy. The project was shown the 28th of June at Mollet del Vallés wrapped in the first Art Show on the Street, called NOU @RT AL CARRER. |
